2 weeks left!

Deadline is eerily close! I am getting extremely nervous, but still positive that everything will come together this week. I am working hard to get this achieved.

The website is still having some problems functioning hopefully they will resolve!

Everything else is coming up great!

count down.

So we are around 3-4 weeks away from the deadline. It's a scary thought, and I am quite nervous. But I am trying to keep a cool head and keep working progressively through the task.
At the moment I am working mostly on the actual designs of the shirts and how else they can be conveyed. I am positive that I will have actual tshirt prints ready for the presentation, as well as stickers and posters that I will give out.

Anyway, wish me luck!

more updates!

The website is coming along slowly, yet I am confident it will be ready in time.

My designs are also going well, albeit slowly. I like what I have so far, so that must be a good sign.

I am unsure at this point if I will actually have printed t-shirts for my presentation. Although it would be great to have them there, the costs might outweigh the need, which is a shame.

news!

So I have started development of the webstore for hark!.

We are just roughly 4 short weeks away from the deadline, but I am confident that the final product will look great.

I have settled on colors, backgrounds, fonts, styles etc.

As for the shirt designs, they are also coming along nicely. My sketchbook is slowly being scanned into digital form and being touched up, added, taken away, colored and the like.

Here is the opener page to Hark!

Another update!

So this week coming up I will be starting development of the web store!
I'm hoping it will get off to a good start, I haven't finalised colors or designs to use yet, but I have figured out fonts, dimensions, templates and the like.

I'm hoping to make it as interactive as I possibly can. Breaking out Flash will be a pain though, as I never was that good at it.
Paypal selling (Which I decided is the best way to trade on the internet) is also ready to be linked to the web store, which will be great.

Update!

Welcome to another blog entry for hark!

This week I have been working on sketches for my upcoming tshirts.
This involves a lot of paper and pencil work, and a lot of use of the eraser!
Collecting other resources is also happening, with stuff like photographs, films and other influences, hopefully my work will be diverse and expansive.

I have not stopped researching other clothing websites and have found quite a few that have layouts that I adore. This is a great step in deciding what to do when the time comes for my website to be developed.

Research.

So a few weeks back, I set myself a research project to complete within the semester.

I am doing my project on a clothing label. The designing, printing, advertising and selling of the label are all included in the project.

I have finally decided on a name - hark! apparel.

So far I have been researching other clothing labels. Looking at their designs, how they operate and how they sell.

I have found some great sites and labels.

Drop Dead Clothing

I have actually been a fan of this brand for a while. The owner and operator is Oliver Sykes, a young metal vocalist from Sheffield, UK. Their designs mix cutesy and cartoonish with gore to good results. Drop Dead is a very popular brand, with millions of tshirts sold online worldwide.
