Adobe E-Seminar.

A few days ago, I did an online Adobe seminar. The topic I chose was the "Photoshop CS5 Tips & Techniques." This was an insight into the future of design and imaging, using brand new features and add-ons in Photosop CS5.

The seminar content itself was very good. I was particularly interested in the new Content Aware Fill feature. It works much like the clone stamp, but it is fully automated. You don’t have to select pattern that should fill selected part of the image. It automatically fills the selected part with matching content. This can work really well, and looks like it produces good results.

Masking and edge detection are also improved, being able to detect really thin and complex edges. This is pretty handy.

Another new great feature shown in the seminar was the wet paint tool. This allows for paint mixing, like with real life paint. New brushes and stroke options are also added to create more realistic lines and effects.

All in all I was very impressed with the seminar. The speaker was very clear and helpful and I will probably look at more of them. I am definitely sold on Photoshop CS5!

Updates.

We're coming up to that time again of the end of the course. I'm starting to get nervous that I will not finish everything on time. However, with perseverance, and alot of late nights, I can get the job done. Maintaining a social life while in deep schoolwork sucks.

Moving on, I have finished verything for the design unit, and almost completed the presentation part. 3D is not the same however, as I constantly have issues with my scene. Skytracer troubles, on top of surface problems are not cool.
On the class-wide DVD project, my research for royalty-free music is not as easy as perhaps thought. Finding good quality sound, that is free is quite a challenge. But hopefully I can russle some stuff up. Web Design is always trying, and Games Design is not too bad.

Either way, I have to stay positive and optimistic. Otherwise I'll fail.
